Characteristics of solar protection curtains

Sun protection curtains for interior and exterior, apart from their decorative element, are designed to offer protection from light, temperature, solar radiation and also visually isolate us from the outside.

Its range and diversity of fabrics makes curtains an element that is fully integrated into the new styles of decorating homes and work spaces.

They are manufactured with different models or systems ranging from classic roller blinds, vertical or horizontal slatted blinds, Japanese panels, etc.

The mechanisms can be with chains, cords, handles or motors.

The motorized systems are always hidden inside the elements of the curtain itself, whether it is the winding tube of the roller blinds, or inside the box of the venetian blinds or panels, and in all cases they can be operated with buttons or remote control and all indoor solar protection automations can be adapted to it.

Currently, roller blinds are manufactured with widths of up to 5.00 mts. for 6.00 mts. of height (Mod. Arion)

This model is also manufactured with side guides that serve to prevent the fabric from moving in the wind in outdoor installations, and also to prevent the entry of lateral light in indoor installations.

The roller blinds

they can be combined with two curtains with different systems and fabric. The back one with light closing guides (opaque) and the front one with a Polyscreen solar protection curtain, to let the light through.

All systems are made to measure with a wide variety of fabrics and colors making them elements with great resistance and durability over the years.

These curtains have all the guarantees and technical certificates to be installed in areas where fire protection certificates are required, offices, hospitals, schools, public spaces and homes in general.

All fabrics have sound absorption, light resistance, non-toxic tear resistance, and with all the European IMO and Green guard Certificates,
ISO 9001 – 14001 – 50001 and OSHAS 18001

And in the case of wood, its origin is from crops of organic and controlled production.

 

The most commonly used types of fabrics for sun protection curtains are:



Polyscreen technical fabrics.

Its composition of high-tenacity polyester coated with PVC, which is a very solid and flexible material that maintains its dimensional integrity.

Thanks to its different degrees of openness of 14%/10%/5%/3% and 1%, it allows a wide variety of transparencies, providing a solution to the incidence of sunlight and temperature received by the buildings according to the orientation of the its facades and the temperature impact it can have in the warm months.

Canvas or resin fabric

Their composition may vary depending on the material, but they are fabrics that let the light through without providing transparency. The materials range from natural fibers to resinated synthetics to prevent the deformation of their fibers and allow anti-fungal, anti-stain, waterproof and high resistance to light treatments.

 

Opaque fabrics or Blackout

They are fabrics that do not allow the passage of light. And they are ideal for rooms without external protection of shutters or shutters.

The manufacture of these materials is with Polyester fabric, with a grammage of approx. 300 g/m². according to the fabric model.

They are ideal for providing privacy, avoiding noise due to their great acoustic quality, protection from UVA rays.

 

Natural wood

Wooden Venetian blinds are made with high quality natural products and give a cozy atmosphere to the spaces where they are placed in addition to their great property of directing light depending on the orientation we give to the slats .
