Solar protection curtains

Features of sun protection curtains

Indoor and outdoor sun protection curtains, apart from their decorative element, are designed to offer protection from light, temperature, solar radiation and also visually isolate us from the outside.

Their range and diversity of fabrics makes curtains an element that is fully integrated into the new styles of decoration of homes and work spaces.
They are manufactured with different models or systems ranging from roller blinds, vertical or horizontal slats and Japanese panels.
The mechanisms can be with chains, cords, handles or motors.
The motorized systems are always hidden within the elements of the curtain itself, whether it is the roller tube of the roller blinds, or within the box of the Venetian blinds or panels, and in all cases they can be operated with push buttons or remote control and all the interior sun protection automations can be adapted.

Currently, roller blinds are manufactured with widths of up to 5.00 mts. by 6.00 mts.
This model is also manufactured with side guides that serve to prevent the fabric from moving due to the wind in outdoor installations, as well as to prevent the entry of lateral light in indoor installations.

Roller blinds can be combined with different systems and fabrics. The rear blind with closing guides (opaque) and the front blind with a Polyscreen sun protection blind, to let the light through.
All systems are made to measure with a wide variety of fabrics and colours that make them elements with great resistance and durability over the years.
These blinds have all the guarantees and technical certificates for installation in areas where fire protection certificates are required, offices, hospitals, schools, public spaces and homes in general.
And in the case of wood, its origin is from organic and controlled production crops.

All fabrics have acoustic absorption, light resistance, non-toxic tear resistance, and with all the European IMO and Green Guard Certificates,
ISO 9001 – 14001 – 50001 and OSHAS 18001

The most commonly used types of fabrics for sun protection curtains are:

Polyscreen technical fabrics.
Its composition is made of high-tenacity PVC-coated Polyester, which is a very strong and flexible material that maintains its dimensional integrity.

Thanks to its different degrees of opening of 14%/10%/5%/3% and 1%, it allows a wide variety of transparencies, providing a solution to the incidence of sunlight and temperature that buildings receive depending on the orientation of their facades and the impact of temperature that they may have in the warm months.

Canvas or resin-coated fabric
Its composition may vary depending on the material but they are fabrics that let light through without giving transparency. The materials range from natural fibres to resin-coated synthetic fibres to prevent deformation of the fibres and allow anti-fungal, anti-stain, waterproof and highly light-resistant treatments.

Opaque or Blackout fabrics
These are fabrics that do not allow light to pass through. They are ideal for rooms without external protection from shutters or blinds.
These materials are made from Polyester fabric, with a weight of approximately 300 g/m² depending on the fabric model.
They are ideal for providing privacy, avoiding noise due to their great acoustic quality, and protection from UVA rays.

Natural wood
Wooden Venetian blinds are made from high-quality natural products and give a cosy atmosphere to the spaces in which they are placed, in addition to their great light orientation property depending on the orientation we give to the slats.
